Herrington Equipment is a family-run business...

Harry V. Herrington, Jr. -- President, Owner / Operator
E-mail: sales@tractorfamily.com

Owner / Operator of the dealership, Harry has been in and around the equipment business since childhood. He followed in his father's footsteps and learned the ins and outs of everything from hands-on mechanical work to everyday business operations. He attended Clemson University and was in the US Army Reserves. He and his wife Trudy have three children: Buster, Leah, and Justin, who work beside him in the family business.

Today, Harry has brought the business full-circle from the early days of farming and agriculture business to now primarily working with homeowners, landowners and landscapers. His years of experience definitely benefit his customers and day to day business operations.

Along with his son, Buster, he is a member of the Lowcountry Antique Tractor and Engine Association. He collects Allis Chalmers, Massey Ferguson, and Farmall tractors, among others. He has an extensive collection of service station signs, old tools, gas pumps, horsedrawn farm equipment, chainsaws and lawn mowers, particularly Snapper Snappin' Turtles from the 50's and 60's. Many are displayed at our dealership.

Harry's second love is his Plymouth Belvedere. He belongs to the local, state and national Plymouth car club and has restored this 1955 Plymouth which has been featured in the National Plymouth owners club magazine and taken many trophies at local car shows.

Trudy Herrington -- Owner
E-mail: office@tractorfamily.com

Trudy, Harry's wife, has been involved in the family business for over 30 years. In this time frame, she has worked in nearly every aspect of the business. She and her daughter Leah work behind the scenes in the office to keep things running.

Trudy's hobby is baking. She is well known for her delicious cakes, cookies and most of all her award winning fudge. She recently received four blue ribbons for her fudge at the Coastal Carolina Fair.

Buster Herrington -- General Manager / Parts
E-mail: parts@tractorfamily.com

Buster is the General Manager as well as the Parts Manager. He has been involved with the family business since early childhood where he worked part time after school. The knowledge he gained from working with his father and grandfather has given him a unique understanding of farm equipment and related items. Buster began to work full-time in the family business in 1993.

Buster is President and Co-Founder of the Lowcountry Antique Tractor and Engine Association. He collects all kinds of old tractors and equipment and enjoys sharing his hobby with others. He is always bringing home some kind of "tractor treasure."

Buster is also a member of The Exchange Club of St. Paul's Parish, a Board Member of the South Carolina Farm Bureau Association and a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.  In 2007, Buster was elected to serve as a council member for the Town of Meggett.

Buster is married to Laurie (Steele) Herrington. Laurie is a CPA and employed as Finance Controller at the GEL Group, Charleston, SC. Buster and Laurie have one son named "Van" who is 6 years old. Van is already fascinated with tractors and enjoys riding on his own pedal tractor -- a Farmall Super M.

After receiving her Bachelor's Degree from the College of Charleston, Leah started her career with the Small Business Administration. Since then, she has worked in the corporate and social event planning market, sales and marketing and now is a mother of three. Leah has three children: Lane (11), Rawlins (8) and Emma (6).

Presently, Leah works part-time in the family business. Her role entails accounting and day-to-day business operations. She is very active in the community and serves on several local advisory Boards including the Carolina Children's Charity, Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding, and the Community Foundation -- all of which primarily focus on the special needs community.
